@Joe : I would animate in IC and if you have offsets in UE4 , after FBX Import , you can adjust it very easy with the UE4 curve editor , or you can use Live Link to see how it looks in UE4. Yes , you can use a RIG for a CC3 but you have to build it by yourself , maybe RL will do that for us in the near future :)

Swinging Earrings Tutorial :
Works for CC3 Characters too , you only have to attach the "Cube" to the head bone and translate it to the ear ( CC3 has no ear lobes bone ) , rest is the same.... It depends on the earring how much you swing limit it. Important : As nearer the earring is to the "cube" as less it will swing and vise versa.
