That was iClone Live Face in Motion Live pumped through LiveLink. I tried through FBX to get a higher Frame Rate, but it didn’t look different. And if I smoothed the recording it looked wrong. So I just left it. I was imagining her playing it on guitar and knows the lyrics too. I got lost in it myself 😜

Now that I did 2 talking ones from iClone I noticed the iClone version has a tighter mouth at points, and that there is not yet a 1-for-1 translation with it. The lip under (like a hard P) gets lost on translation to the MetaHuman unless it was really really pronounced. A couple other ones too. I believe there’s something with the way they made the MH, it hangs its mouth open very unorganically, I have seen it in every MH LiveLinkFace video. It is there in Faceware too. Also, the tongue kept popping up too, that was not in the iClone version.

However, in many ways it looks more real than the iClone version, but it could be just the MH looks better than the CC3 base, because the CC base suddenly looks very non-human now, almost looks like a store mannequin; our eyes are becoming accustomed to Metahumans, I see some side by sides and the CC3 looks bad compared to it, but a year ago it looked the best.

If there is one thing I would love to see RL working on is iClone’s processing of LiveLink frame rate. The 60 FPS gets knocked in half solely for transferring the character data through the Link. It is not that there is too much going on with meshes or textures, both applications run smoothly together, until a link is bridged, then the FPS gets whacked.... it is strictly animation data streaming that slows down iClone’s FPS, it yields a lot of processing power to make it happen.

The other thing is if RL would make the MH Transformer to CC3 or CC4 or whatever. When I see their presentations, the designers of the Meta Humans come off as agitated and irritated to be working on it further, I guess they get sick of it, you know. They seem pleased when they can say they are not taking it further in one direction or another. But this opens up a huge lane for RL to take it and run with it. RL always comes off as excited to be developing. They even almost made made Omniverse seem exciting, but then Nvidia’s lack of development kills it.

Hi,
Just a quick question, I haven’t used live link for a while for actual recording, only previs before I export fbx, so tried doing some recording this afternoon using your MH blueprints, just body not face. Are you guys still using sequence recorder as I was told it was deprecated? I’m using take recorder and it works ok apart from weird things using root animation for longer walks etc. i can’t see anyway on the reallusion site that says to use take recorder? Which is the best result do you think?

That’s not really a CC3 body right? How would you even get it to look like that?

Wait, how did you connect the MH's face and CC3 body so seamlessly? That's really impressive, could you please share how to achieve a similar result?

He doesn't really go into it in the video, just try to match the skin best you can, you can only obscure the seam.

I would pay $ for it, if RL would release an MH-Transformer HD-Bust upgrade so we could have full unfettered use of the paradigm with CC. 
Then again, you and I both independently came up with our own wrinkle dynamics, RL still hasn't come out with that.
