Hi, Hoping one of the developers may be around here.
I need to code/convert a bunch of mocap and. imotion files for a client into something that will work with G3 characters. I will be using python or c++ externally.
Are there any whitepaper resources for the. cbtMotion file format? What is binary encoding method in CTA 3?
Thanks!

At this time there is no open API for CTA4 so scripting or coding isn't possible. There also is no converter for BVH or motion capture formats to get them into .cbtMotion format.

Are there functions in the iClone Python API to import, export and transform facial expressions?

Hi, Yes, I don't need an api. I will be working on the cbtMotion outside CTA, I can make bvh files compatible myself, done it with afx and nuke before.
Infact, if I just have a few details of the binary coding used in CTA3 file format io, I can workout the file formatting myself. I could even work out the binary code format too at a push, with a little trial and error, but it's a hassle and I would have thought it would be documented somewhere. No worries.
