I own CTA4 Pipeline and Affinity Designer / Photo. If I load an actor into CTA4, then go into Composer Mode, and Launch to External PSD Editor. When I click save in either Affinity Photo or Designer, even without having made any changes, I am getting problems with the character back in CTA4. Anyone any ideas? Thanks BEFORE: AFTER: BEFORE: AFTER:

I can't repeat the issue using Photoshop so the issue may be just with Affinity products. Please can you report the issue in the Feedback Tracker and the CTA4 team will investigate. You will then receive feedback there if applicable. Thanks. https://www.reallusion.com/FeedBackTracker/Product/Cartoon-Animator-4

Thanks Peter. I have reported in Feedback Tracker. I've narrowed it down to characters with masked eyes, so if anyone has a workaround I'd appreciate it.

Please, can you update to version 4.01 and let us know if you continue to have these same problems. Thanks.

The eye problem is still the same in version 4.01, although the head of the flower now appears in the correct position after a save. I have attached before and after images this time using Martha and showing the layer manager.

In Affinity Photo try putting a check in the Mask (Pixel) for both the right and left eye and then export. This should allow the eyes to display correctly in CTA4.

SUCCESS! Thank you Peter. That has it sorted. I never even noticed the mask (pixel) wasn't ticked in the sub-layer.

Oh sweet Lord! Two hours banging my head against the wall trying to fix the character's eyes that suddenly started looking as blank as those of a great white shark during attack (they say ). Thanks for the tip Peter! Although in truth this most certainly should be classified as a bug and get looked at. Oh one of these days I hope this entire PSD back and forth will become a thing of the past as a secondary option for those Photoshop addicts.

I tried the option here and it did not work in the current versions of Affinity Designer and CA4 for me. They have told me a hotfix will be ready by the end of the month.... That's a month's work lost... They seem more interested in selling more stuff from the store than fixing issues for existing paid users. CA4 now crashes every time when I try to import a PSD from A.D. with eyes and mouth layers.

Hi disupero. I use AD for my character creation. So far it has been smooth sailing for me.
