Maya 2018, sp 5 Iclone + 3dxchange latest version
export/import format - FBX
Hello,
what is your specific workflow and settings for exportings chars with Blendshapes from Maya into 3dxchange and importing into iclone?
I have a non rigged character (no joints at this point), just with Blendshapes, but what ever i try i dont get any Morphs in 3dxchange visible. I even tried exporting the single Blendshapes as obj files but also there, no luck.
I want to capture with face live (iphone x) plugin in Iclone
I also miss support help in this Forum.,,, any help from the support here!?

you want to folow a reallusion morph table. i made a animated character with blend shapes made in mudbox. i just open the 3dxchange open the morph table and make the same morphs in the table and put all in the correct places and done :) 75% of original size (was 668x19) - Click to enlarge

@sprecher I'm very sorry for bothering you again. Here is the another simple sample face for testing your FBX pipeline to 3DXchange. Please open the following model on your Maya for FBX download and compare with your face model case. The sample name: faces.Maya ASCII File 1.951 KB, No need to unzip. Achso das funktioniert nur mit einem geriggten Charakter . Fùr Propst muss man den Morphcreator in iC nutzen oder den Kopf an ein Bonegerùst anbringen damit man in xchange das Facial expression Menü aktivieren kann, aber das ist nur eine Alte Alternative wo es noch kein Morphcreator gab.

Thanks. Yes i can open that exported FBX file and 3dx change now shows the morphs. As it seems, 3dxcnahe really wants the morphs to be extra mehes in the scene (nowaday Maya, as default, does not create extra meshes for the blendshapes and just stores the verts offsets for each BS).
How can i activate the morph editor in 3dxchange? After importing the FBX there that button is greyed out!...

Das heisst du erstellst die Morphs nicht selber sondern, importierst dein Face mesh in CC oder IC und machst das mehr oder weniger "automatisch" dort? Am besten hat dein Face mesh schon eyeballs oder besser ohne? Ich möchte letzendlich mit Face live und Iphone X, performance capture machen... Hast du das schon ausprobiert? Danke dir!

Thanks 75% of original size (was 668x19) - Click to enlarge i use 3dmax/mudbox not maya so . i can talk about 3dsmax/mudbox sorry. i create all blendshapes on mudbox and send to 3dmax, via bridge its automatic creates the "moprh modifier" so the 3dxchange just recognite my morphs as facial morphs 75% of original size (was 668x19) - Click to enlarge

In my case its greyed out and i cannot activate it! Like I say already .It works with a rigged Character as base and not only with unrigged obj aka props, like your head meshes are. You can not use facial expression tools without a Character. That what you do, do not work so. That is in term only a prop not character.
