I would like to use Cartoon Animator in live theatre. I would want to have two or more actors on "stage" at once. Is this possible with the current version?

Hi Joseph,

we currently support real-time motion capture for one character at a time,
however, you could  have multiple characters on stage,
and click to cycle between them.

Thanks. I assume  the workaround would be to have two or more characters running on two different macs and mix them real time using broadcast software.

Just use multiple computers. each computer running one character. Bring in each feed into a master computer which is where you would have your streaming software such as OBS. Use OBS to remove the background color of each character and compost them in the scene within OBS itself. Should be really simple actually. You can sidestream your content via wifi or just send it via a something like wifi. You could even use something like TeamViewer to remote view another computers screen and capture your remote sources that way. Sounds pretty easy to do actually. You can install CA4 on up to two machines. So that would give you at least two characters on the screen at the same time.

Not much you can do for theater though. all you can do is talking head stuff, I don't think it would be much helpful for actual performance. Just stuff like having two or more characters mouthing general commentary while staring at the fourth wall. TV News type of thing maybe.
