Hi I'm using Unity 3d and I wish to use CC3 characters as player and npc. In first person view, I wish to separate head and arms from body (they are activated for thir person view). I bought a tool in unity to separate it, but it don't support CC3 characters. Is this actually possible? If not, it would be a nice new feature. Thanks in advance

If you use the mesh editing tools in CC3P to hide the parts of the mesh you do not want, then you can select the "Delete Hidden Mesh" box on FBX export. You will then get only the mesh you had visible rigged to your skeleton in the FBX file.

Hi
Thank you. I don't wish to delete the parts, I wish to separate it. With separated arms and head, I can switch during gameplay between first person and third person view....

I think you can save a character each way, and then combine them to a common skeleton in your game engine.

There should be an instruction for the Unity asset what setup the avatars need to allow separate each part. If you need to setup vertex groups... or other.
