Hi there, I'm trying to export 2 game bases with the bone rig in the same position.

If I export an untouched full-res model and a radically morphed model (say Heavy at 100%) to FBX, both have the exactly the same bone positions, this is perfect for my needs.

However, if I convert the same 2 morph states to the game base, the morph "heavy" version forcibly moves the bones to new positions (as if I had used the adjust bones>auto-position feature). This is not what I'm after at all, and actually ruins my workflow.

Is there any way to override this "feature" or revert it in some way. I've tried the "adjust bones" feature but it has no memory of the original bone positions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Try applying the morph after you convert to game bone, instead of before.

Have you tried reapplying the t-pose from the pose folder in the content manager?

Have you tried reapplying the t-pose from the pose folder in the content manager?


That has no effect, the model is already in t-pose. (Poses are rotational)

It is the bone positions that have been altered.

Hi...

When you convert your character to Game Base it goes through an auto-rig process which involves reverse calculating the bone position and skin weighting. Unfortunately, this means you will end up with slightly different bone positions when the process is complete. This is sadly unavoidable but we will look at ways to improve this in the future.
