Fortunately it is possible on Vimeo to replace a video.
I have uploaded a new version with some small improvements in animation and sound.

[i decided to remove the rest of this post, since it is not important]

Here is part 3 of that scene, and finally i will bring this to an end. I am not able to animate this as i would like to.
I don't have the equipment and it takes too much time to do it without that.

So i shortened the end a bit.
The Martian is dead. Quickly and simple.
I don't know how and when i will continue that story.

Here is part 2 of Episode 2 of 'Lost Planet'.

There is one part left - and this wlll most likely be the most challenging.
For that, i am currently trying some mocap files from truebones, which seem to have great value.

(I know it has a lot if imperfections. But i want to advance the story...)

Nice behaviour of your vehicle with physics!

Thanks! I'm surprised myself about iClone physics. I like it a lot.
But i have to replace the off-road tires since i can't use the self-mesh from them, that's why it is not perfect.

Any reason why it's called LAOST PLANET??

No, but thanks for the enlighenment :) I didn't realize it was the wrong letter :ermm:

The environment is now a mix of a physics terrain and props.
Scene already takes 6.5 Gig of VRAM,  so i will start to get into troubles soon.
I admit i didn't take this into account when i converted / added the characters and props :(

Here is a preview of Episode 2.
It took me a few days to create those physics which are still not perfect, but it works :)
And i wanted to mimic the interior of the real MMSEV a little bit
Of course not exactly, and with different characters ;)

I know that Episode 1 had an open end.
But it will make a smooth transition later :)

Any comment appreciated.

Hi 3dtester,
good job, especially the background.
Where do you have the spaceship and the interior of the spaceship looks very impressive.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys, i'm glad you like it!

I basically have the story already on my mind, but obviously i need to learn lots more things to make it working the way i want.

For example i need a physics terrain now. I will be using the tool 'TerreSculptor' for that.
I take on of the iClone heightmap terrains and customize it, so it looks like the terrain prop i'm using now.
Since i have no clue how to create a completely new heightmap terrain for iClone, i guess this would be a good start.

It is also a matter of time. With a full-time IT job you often don't have the brain ressources left at the evening :)
And the weekend is short as well.
But the good thing is that there is no need to hurry.

Next i will import a few more characters.
And Python is also a thing i want to get my hands on :)

I upload my videos on Vimeo because i already have a YT channel, but it is about different topics so i didn't want to mix it up.

Kind regards,
3dtester
