Just did some rough testing for: 1. Creating a young child avatar in CC3 by reducing-down an 'adult' avatar - (which seemed to turn out reasonably well), and, 2. The LOD feature (for creating 'low poly' crowd extras). I was surprised how "low" you can go for video use - down to an amazing 1.5k polys (when viewed in the *small test version*). Obviously finer detail such as 'fingers' start to suffer at these extremes (as seen in the larger test) - but when far enough away it's fine .... The 50k avatar (which has the 'blinking') is the 'original' - with no LOD reduction performed. Well done Reallusion!

Yikes! Are you prepping a remake of "Village of the Damned"? ;-) Surprisingly good result with that huge reduction... I would've thought 40% would be the breaking point.

Hey Sonic, could you please detail the exact steps/settings in Instalod how you made those? I did a test a few weeks ago and could not get an acceptable character so low... Would be great ;)

@Peter .... thank-you @Postfrosch .... Nice! @Mark .... lol - and yes, I found that the 'trick' seems to be with the 'when' and 'where' of *smoothing*, as shown below. @Toystory .... Here's the approach I took, - let's know if anything's unclear - :)

This is really cool...it would be cool to see a bunch of low res characters with varying motions mapped to a particle system!
