Hi,I'm experimenting and figuring out the best way for me how to export my Characters from CC3 right. I'm taking Alembic back to consideration so... Correct me if I'm wrong: I need iClone to export Alembic files, which costs min. $150 (member price) and there is no other legitimate way I can export Alembic. I need only CC3 and iClone7 to export Alembic files. I'm runnnig trial version of iClone and do own CC3 and I've tried to export the .abc and import it to Blender. I'm struggling now with turning on the texture in the Blender, "Texture","Material" nor "Rendered" layer do work. When I've worked with .fbx, I've just clicked "Material" layer and the texture showed up, not the case anymore. Any solutions on how to fix that? Next, why "Displacement" (Facial hair and Eyebrows rough surface) do not show up in the Blender after importing the Alembic file? I thought it's engraved in the mesh and it's not only texture like Diffuse or Normal Map.. Correct me if I'm wrong again. Now these holes in Character's clothes. His skin is popping out and I've fixed it by deleting the actual Body_Mesh in Blender. It works perfectly fine and I don't need to pull out the suit in CC3 so it doesen't lose it's shape. What's under the clothes and unseen doesen't matter to me 'cause it will be hopefully 3D Printed later. Is there a way to do this right in CC? To delete that body? Because if there is, I may be able to export it to other software which maybe won't make the character that "ugly" (Blender vs CC). If there is any software for post-processing the models after exporting them from CC/iClone that you think would suit my requierements better, please, let me know.
