courtneyclayart (3/13/2019) Hi! It would be really useful to be able to see the numeric height of each character, especially when making an entire cast of people. It's hard to know if you're making someone absurdly short or tall when you can't see the entire cast at once, and I've had to do a lot of screenshots and guesswork to make sure I can keep sets of characters consistent. Even if there was some kind of ruler tool, that would be great. You can already see that. Press Ctrl+F and you will notice an info section in the top left corner of the view port. This includes the height of what is selected. To get an accurate height you want to measure without shoes, hair, or hat, as those items would be added to the height. The default unit of measurement is Centimeters, but you can change that to Feet. Since the units in iClone are centimeters, it simpler to stick with that IMO.

TopOneTone (2/23/2019) I had the same problem and eventually I think I managed to download it manually. However, I don't really know what these resources are that it was adding, to be able to check it worked. Can someone confirm? I can see that there are some basic items of clothing etc, but all the previous items I had have gone. Do I need to download them again separately? I'm sure I'm missing stuff that was in the original CC3 release. I'm so confused with the multiple versions and updates, that I now end up importing each resource separately as I need it from the previous versions. Wish it was more like DAZ and automatically retained all your assets in your library.
Any advice?
Tony
If you think you have some default content missing, try downloading the Resource Pack again and install that. You can download it from your Member Account > Registration page. Just click the Download link for CC3 to find it. For Content Packs, you can install them again and they will go into CC3 by default. All Content Store purchases can be found on your account Order History page and Marketplace purchases from your Marketplace Inventory page.

TopOneTone (2/23/2019) Can someone please clarify this for me. Based on the comments here, it appears that the Appearance Editor does not work with the CC3 characters, but does work with CC1 characters. I have opened each of the 3 versions of CC and found that using the default character in each only CC1 gives access to the Activate Appearance Editor. So am I right in thinking this issue was also present in CC2, which I thought used different character model from CC3? Thanks, Tony Hi Tony Character Creator 2 still used CC1 characters (actually designated as 1.5). There were no CC2 characters as such. In Character Creator 3 we have a new and improved character model which we refer to as CC3. So basically you only have CC1 and CC3 type characters available.

Unfortunately, Appearance Editor support for CC3 Base Characters is still some way off but it is coming in the 3.1 update later in the year. Hello Peter, that should not be a complaint but What does CC 3.1 appear later in 2019? The update was released in November / December 2018 CC 3.1 will be released in the first quarter of 2019 (at the end of March 2019 at the latest) OK, that was a long but manageable time since the release of CC 3 and also visible to the customers. Now it's suddenly called "later in 2019". this can also mean that the update CC 3.1 also appears first in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2019. Maybe also only at the end of the year 2019. What should be set up (can you)? I'm also synonymous to the possibility of exporting the LOD avatars as iAvatere to IClone 7th (is not possible now because you need the export license for RL clothing if you want to export it as fbx) Clarification Seitesn RL would be glauzbe I in the sense of RL customers. Greetings from Germany Postfrosch (Werner)
Hi Postfrosch There are a lot of big changes coming in the 3.1 update but this has unfortunately meant that it will be released later in the year than originally planned. There are smaller updates planned before that, but the next major update will be 3.1. At the present time, I don't have a date for when 3.1 will be ready but we are sadly looking past the original Q1 2019 timeframe.
