I am going to order a 2080 ti for Iclone 7? Do you have any opinion about this new cards. Maybe RTX is not good at Iclone 7?

Two points:

1) RTX will be wasted on iClone... and mostly useless for *most* operations in the near future.  You will need to check your specific games and applications for plans to provide RTX support.
2) The 2080Ti is an awesome graphics card, and even without RTX support it will still be the best card you can buy for iClone and gaming.  It'll cost a lot, but it is the new performance king.

I just purchased a GTX 1080Ti with 11 GB VRAM and it cost less that an RTX 2080 with 8 GB VRAM. Simple reason for my decision, I have never owned a computer game, and none of the production software that I have installed is likely to offer any form of support for Ray Tracing in the foreseeable future - and by that time the cards will not only be fully tested, they will also not be as expensive.

Too waste at this moment, because IClone won't support RTX after few year are coming (I guess).
And also, it's costly.

If you plan to creating any game or movie are base on most popular engine, you're wellcome purchase it.
if not, just sit and wait the price drop or IClone 8 or 9 launch .... WAKAKA!

Maybe I'm naive, but Reallusion would do better to concentrate on using more than one nVidia card at the same time (SLI). That would serve us a lot better, IMHO.

Having SLI support would be awesome (and probably a lot easier to do than trying to get RTX supported).

Although the 2080Ti is the top card at this time, I think the 1080Ti is a much better value, and that's where I'd personally put my money for iClone today.

SLI support would not increase the effective VRAM, which would be the most useful for iClone. Two cards may give you some increase in speed, but that all depends. If RTX, maybe in combination with Iray, would provide an efficient high-quality renderer within iClone I'm all for it. To all who want to export and render in a third-party application, good luck, but that's not a feasible avenue for me.

Do not get a normal 2080 !!!

I worked for Nvidia for few years i can tell you now the 2080 normal version is a waste of money... the 1080ti beats it in a lot of scores you can look this up..
If you are going to spend money on a 2080 get the TI version only... other wise save your self some money and get a 1080ti for cheaper.

The 2080 and the 1080ti have just about the same scores across the board,, it would be a major waste of money to get 3 extra fps.

The biggest factor the 2080 has 8gb ram!  the 1080ti has 11gb ram
You will need the ram way more vs a few more fps... Ram is key to 3D not speed.

For what it's worth... the "Turing" architecture has shown 8x speed increase when tested by OTOY (Octane) - that's huge!  It's already quite feasible with Octane 4 to get HD frames looking great in under 8 seconds... so, simple math suggests you could be virtually rendering "non biased ray traced" in virtually real time.  Oh, yeah, if you missed it... when Octane 4 is released (they're currently on "release candidates") it will be 100% free.
