HI,

Apparently my CC can create an iclone project,  but not much else.

can this be imported into a current iclone scene?   How?

What formats can be imported / merged with a scene { without replacing everything? }

PS do I have to upgrade CC to do this?

Actually what CC does (mostly) is create an iAvatar file, which then can indeed be loaded into iClone as a character.

IF the versions match you can have your avatar selected and do a "Export to iClone" (or some such) but mostly it's just "Export as an iAvatar", and then you drag or otherwise import this in.

And just thought I would show a second option for sending characters directly between CC and IClone.

Oh, and the same thing happens if you double click a character from iClones character contents.
If you have a character in the project and select it before you double click the new character to load it into your project. 
Then the character you selected in the project will get replaced by the new character but the new character will keep
the animations the original character had.

Just thought I might have made it sound like I was stating that this only happens when you export the character directly from CC to iClone and that is not what I was trying to say.
Anyway. Hope all the suggestions made by all of us help you.
