So I bought Crazytalk animator 3 pro version for Mac from app store (it was on sale price). When I go into character animation I have just a motion option and not 2d motion and 3d motion. Also when I put my zoom on it does not allow me to turn it off. Infact I seem to have glitches everywhere. Can someone help me with regards to this??

Hi 2btinab!

I'd recommend you head on over to the Learning Centre.  Work through some of the introductory videos to get a feel for how things are done in CTA3.  You don't have to watch everything, but get a basic grounding first.  Then you can pick and choose some of the other areas.

There's also the online manual.  Although it seems to be aimed squarely at the Pipeline version, I think it does generally point out those sections which are Pipeline only (and some which are Pro and Pipeline only), so that may be an alternative to watching videos for you.

If you have come from another animation background, I'd expect you'll find a lot of similar functionality, but accessed and controlled in a decidedly CTA way.  In other words, don't expect to run before you learn to walk.

Once you've done that, come back here and ask specific questions and hopefully you'll get useful answers from the community.  Hope this helps…

Thank you for your response. I have watched quite a lot of the video's and I definitely don't have the 2D or 3D motion options coming up when I click on a character. I have checked it with the characters already available on the programme and they are the same. I am new to this, however, there is definitely something up with the Crazytalk animator 3 programme I have.

Hi...

If you have the Pro version then you will have both 2D and 3D motion options available, but do remember that these options are only available if you have a compatible character loaded first. So for example to use the "3D Motion Key Editor" you need to load a G2 character first. Once you have the character loaded and selected you should see the "3D Motion Key Editor" button active on the left side toolbar (or just press M on the keyboard).

For G3 characters and Free Bone characters you will only have the "2D Motion Key Editor" available. So again load a G3 character into your scene, select it so it has a bounding box around it, then click the "2D Motion Key Editor" button on the left side toolbar (or press K on the keyboard).

Do give this a try and see if it helps. :)
