Am I correct in understanding that there is no way to export an FBX animation of an animated prop/primitive that uses the PATH or the PHYSICS features of IC7 & 3DX7Pipeline?

Both are possible, with one caveat. That is that only the kinematic physics type can follow a path. The other types will follow physics! ;)
The easiest way is to export directly from iClone, and skip 3DX. Select your object to export. Then choose "Export/Export FBX" from the File menu, and specify the frame-range so that it covers the extent of the motion.
EDIT: Looks like the export from iClone might be the only way currently.

Thank you Rampa, a quick test of a primitive moving along a path and FBX exported from IC7 (skipping 3DX) does seem to work. YEA!
