I'm a director, not really a 3d modeler. however, I've bought a nice armor that can be transfer into Iclone accessory, for my character creator. But I don't have the pipeline edition. can someone is interested in doing it for me? I'm willing to pay for the work. But most of the job is done.

Marc

You say you don't have the Pipeline edition, as if to say you have the "regular" edition of XChange -- you DO know that's all you need to bring it into iClone (and then CC) right?

I don't know hot to make it work as a fitting suit. all i'm able to do is bringing object. But they are not CC available or they don't fit like clothes.

Yeah, *most* of the work isn't done, and just having Pipeline won't help.

Trying to fit an external model to a CC character is a PITA -- and could require a TON of time.  Plus you will need to have it rigged -- so someone will need to be handy with at least Blender (or perhaps Max).  Expect to pay some big bucks -- *I* know how to do it and wouldn't charge less than $100 (but perhaps someone has more time on their hands than common sense).

I wish you luck.

I'm not a modeler too but I made an old tutorial to "import/conform" CC clothes. I used Blender. It's in french but it's simple
to understand with the pictures.

The steps to do this are *exactly* the same as importing hair -- interesting.

I had wondered how you would fit the clothes, but hadn't thought about CC doing the fitting for you.  I assume this only works if they are close enough, right?  And, of course, you haven't covered (nor did I, in my hair tutorial) the weighty problem of, well, weighting (not necessary for the OP since he's doing armor, but for clothes and hair it's kind of important).

But I do appreciate seeing you do this -- makes me think that perhaps even some external stuff from Daz might be usable (weighting issues aside).

I can conform nearly everything but only with clothes/armor in a T-pose because the Base male/female are in a T-pose.
You can adjust polygons in blender or in CC.
Clothes with big collar or with some accesories are a little bit tricky because you have to re-paint the weight. The collar
doesn't move with the head but with the torso pine bone for exemple. The automatic weightpaint transfer is ok for simple clothes.
Same for pants with strap ,etc... It's better to use the Base character with motion to test extreme movement.
For juppes and caps I prefer using the Iclone clothes physics. This an exemple of DAZ clothes  :

I didn't have much luck with a simple shirt for a female -- the Daz clothes don't fit the back well (the curvature of the CC back is much more extreme) and without hiding faces (which I could do) it just doesn't look good.  Perhaps with a lot more work in Blender but I'm not sure it's worth it.  I'll have to play around some more to see.

But thanks for the example -- it's intriguing.
