Hi all,

Can someone explain to me why some of the motion clips I use in a scene doesn't allow me access some functions. Right click on a motion clip give me a lot of greyed out options, but in the same scene I have a motion clip that isn't restricted. 

Here some screenshots for the details. I tried to flatten the motion clip, but that doesn't work.

I have occasionally had that happen, but a second r-click has always resolved it. Is it consistent? Every time you click on that clip? Does it still do it if you then break that clip into two?

Thank you for the quick reply.
Today I re-opened the project and the motion clips mentioned in the screenshots are working again. Strange? :S
But still I have this issue on other motion clips that I didn't alter. So it looks like it is happening at random. 

I tried your suggestion to right-click twice and break the clip, but that doesn't work for me, still greyed out. 
Also tried to isolate the clip and remove the transition by sliding the handle to the right. No luck.. hmm 

To me, this happens only if I select a general key. What do I mean?

If you click the key I am highlighting with the red arrow, then the menu will be grayed out because you have selected not only the motion, but also the key on the transform tab:



As you see, by clicking on the red arrow key, I have selected the motion, but I've also selected the transform key (see that it turned green as well?)

If I click ONLY the motion on the motion tab, then I won't get the grayed out menu:



See that the transform key is white, which means it's not selected.

This "greyed out" clip is grouping with other clips, please "Split" first, then it will work!

Didn't know the clips are grouping this way
I can confirm that right mouse works again if I slide the clip to the side and it doesn't attach to another clip.
I will have to try your other suggestions of "splitting" and "selecting only the motion clip".
