I'm trying to download 2 different CrazyTalk Animator items from the marketplace. I clicked on the .rlcontent file which opens up RLDownloaderR2. However, I keep getting "Cannot find the program associated with the downloaded file(s)".

I have both Crazytalk and Crazytalk Animator Trials installed.

Hi...

To be able to install any content from the Marketplace or Content Store you must have a full retail version of CrazyTalk Animator installed. This is because the content pack has to be linked to your serial number and account. Sadly you can't install content packs with the trial versions. If you decide to purchase CrazyTalk Animator then you will of course be able to install your content.

All the contents from the Marketplace or Content Store are linked to your serial number?

What happens if I own a Mac version on one account and a PC version on another account? Do I have to purchase 2 copies of the same G3 Power Tools assets just to use it on both my Mac and PC?

If you have two accounts we can merge the accounts into one so the content can be used between Mac and PC.

So the CrazyTalk Animator assets you buy are restricted to Crazytalk Animator? Can't be use with something like Adobe Animator? Not only that, but tied to a specific account/serial number?

What happens if you forgot your password and have no access to your old email for recovery? Can't use any of the assets that you've bought?

yep, CTA Content is not only images, there have bones and special Programmfeatures  which  are not compatible with Adobe Animate
2 different companies and Programs concepts.

If you have install the content in CTA  already, you can use it.

I understand CTA content isn't just images. If I'm going to spend $500 on assets, I want to be sure it's not stuck in CTA. I understand you can export to PSD with the Pipeline version with images and bones.

Getting CTA to work with other apps isn't that easy because it's not standard format and doesn't let you import other formats because images and PSD, and audio for voice/mouth animation.

I was looking into mocap and it looks like I might need iClone and 3DXchange.
I was looking into importing animations from other apps. FBX and BVH not supported.
I saw there use to be a Unity plug-in, but that's discontinued in CTA 3.

If I can animate and do mocap with other apps and import those characters into to CTA 3, that would be great. Without relying on iClone and 3DXchange. Doesn't look like you can even import Crazytalk to Crazytalk Animator.

No,only Images can exportet , Bones are never support in a PSD file .

mocup is only for Generation 2 Character and not for the Generation 3  PSD Character
The Unity Plugin was only for Crazy Talk 7 , never for Crazy Talk Animator

Asset for CTA is made  and usable only for CTA.
all what you can do is export a video or Images sequence for Sprites,   but not Functions, Bones or what ever.

Crazy Talk 8 and Crazy Talk Animator 3  are different Programms and have nothing to do together,  exept the same 2D Head fitting Tool is also in CTA3, but nothing else.

You can export it to PSD with CTA Pipeline 3.2. There are pages dedicated to importing/exporting CTA G3 characters to Photoshop. Bones are in the export as a separate layer in photoshop.

There is a PSD template for you to download. Only problem with export is that the vectors will be rasterize before being exported to PSD.
