Hello everyone. I noticed that during video rendering of a clip, only one of my two SLI connected video cards works, the second and the processor are really poor or not used at all. I wonder if there are any settings to use more efficently my PC to speed up rendering operations.

SLI doesn't help. What is your card?

Thanks for your reply.
I own a good rig: core i9 processor, two of nvidia gforce gti 1080 Ti, Samsung pci express drive, 64 gb ddr 4 3000. But the point I want to focalize is that if I rend a clip using Daz3D, I see the both the video cards and the processor work at the limit. Yes I know the rendering engine is NVidia IRay, so it is optimized for my system. By counter IRay engine is too much complicated and slow, I wil never recommand it. No, I love iClone the both for performance and usability, I wander if it can be set to make better use of the hardware, but I didn't find any dedicated options in the preference pane. I think its rendering engine is a compromise from different hardwares, but if Daz3D uses so well my system, why Reallusion has to stand behind them? I also bought Indigo RT renderer plugin for iClone 7. It, like iRay, uses all components at full speed and more I can continue my work within iClone during rendering. It can look like a good choige, if you got two or three days to rend one minute clip, I do not understand how people can take advantage of this, I must have miss something. Or perhaps I have to study better the manuals and not take count of the intuitiveness of modern software. But it seems strange that a software is setup in slow mode by default, without any evident option to faster its operations.

It is a real lenghtly operation to post somethig there. We have to wait censors approval everytime. You wrote almost 10k how did you make it? Anyway I want to correct my use of Indigo RT plugin in iClone 7 I mentioned my previous post . In effect I tried it once to rend one single scene, and it tooks an ethernity for one single frame and I leave it alone. But the worst is to try to rend  more frames. You have to wait almost one minute per frame to make iClone creates one single igs file. During this period it is not possible to use iClone for something else. Then there is the effective Indigo rendering that tooks two lifes. It is absolutely inusable. I put away my money and it is too late to ask for a refund. I'll study it better, but I think it cannot be helped.

There is a feature request for multiple graphics card support, here: https://www.reallusion.com/FeedBackTracker/Issue/Multiple-Video-Card-Support. You can add your vote there.

Indigo has been a disappointment, and I'm sorry you wasted your money. It's OK for stills, but not for animation.

What you could try are the tips somebody posted the other day: https://www.reallusion.com/FeedBackTracker/Issue/Urgent-update-to-the-Doc-for-Indigo-Rendering-procedure-to-avoid-crashes-on-big-projects.

I will repeat them here:

1. Set iClone to use quick shader (it eats up resources in quality mode and is not needed for Indigo since it has it's own method of rendering PBR etc) HQ mode takes up a lot of resources that could otherwise be used for exporting to Indigo project files.

2. If using Tessellation, keep it set to 0 in iClone but increase it in Indigo once it's loaded.

3. Use a solid state hard drive -it helps.

4. Disable any background programs if not needed.

I have not tried this myself, but it may help you.
