Hellow everyone,
Hey, I created two characters in 'Character Creation,' and exported them into iClone 7, but I cannot return them back to 'Character Creation.' I want to save them because they are my main characters. How do I save just the character avatars that I exported to iClone. (No, I did not save them when I created them in Character Creation; they were just an experiment, but now I want to keep them.) How do I save just the character avatars that I exported to iClone? You know, put them into the avatar menu, or save them in a way that I can use them in other projects.
Learning a piece at a time, Mark

I just figured out how to save a character in iClone, but I still want to export her back into Character Creation for further modifications. Is there a way to do that? Mark

In iClone you can select the character and then select Edit in Character Creator (Modify panel). This will open the character in CC. The other method is from within CC: Go to File ==> Import and then you can import the iClone (iAvatar) version of the character. One thing to be aware of: exporting to iClone flattens the materials so they are no longer Substance materials you can edit in CC. Therefore it's always a good idea to save the characters you create as CC projects.

Thank you animagic, It worked perfectly. I cannot imagine how long you guys have been doing animations, but you sure know a lot. Maybe, one day, I will come close to your knowledge level; I can only hope...
With much appreciation for your help, Mark
