In my other question on video cards, it occurred to me to ask if you can take advantage of SLI with multiple video cards when it comes to working in iClone 7. Or is it unable to use the resources of SLI, currently? Since I know I have to make hardware purchase, I want to make sure that I make a good purchase that I'm going to be able to take advantage of properly.

iClone 7 won't take advantage of SLI configurations (or Crossfire for AMD). It will only utilise one GPU.

You're right on point with the answers today, Peter. Thanks for all your help. I have some decisions to make about my second computer. I have a GTX 980 ti on my current computer so I want to make sure that I get something suitable for the second one without spending money on technology that won't benefit me. Thank you for the accurate responses --it really helps a lot.

I would maximize VRAM on a single card if it's in your budget. I went to 8 GB (GTX 1080) and it's been really helpful. The 1080 Ti has just been released with 11 GB VRAM, and I see now lower prices for other cards in the GTX 1000 family.
