hi guys,
just want to confirm that character creator 2.0 doesn't support substance engine v6 (sbar files created with substance designer 6). if so, when do you expect to solve. thanks!
cheers,
erwin

I haven't had any problems using substances fron SD 6. Could you explain what isn't working for you in a more detailed way?

hi, i'm testing custom made substances. i can load any other substance. but not even the simplest of them, made in sd6, can be loaded. i did test with some source.allegorithmic ones, which i assume use the latest, although this isn't necessarily a fact. is there a setting i must add in sd6 for cc to be able to load them?

In Designer you need to select publish and save a sbsar format then CCreator should then read it.

hi, just tested with the same basic sbar but generated using SD5, and it works. so it appears it is a compatibility issue with SD6? please confirm. thanks!

I think SD 6 has a "compatibility" setting of some sort, so it can export in a v5 format. I don't have the details at my fingertips (can't run SD on my phone). That might be worth looking into as an interim solution/workaround.
iClone 7... Character Creator... Substance Designer/Painter... Blender... Audacity... Desktop (homebuilt) - Windows 10, Ryzen 9 3900x CPU, GTX 1080 GPU (8GB), 32GB RAM, Asus X570 Pro motherboard, 2TB SSD, terabytes of disk space, dual monitors. Laptop - Windows 10, MSI GS63VR STEALTH-252, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 (6GB), 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD

hi, thanks for your response! fortunately i have SD5, and it appears to work fine. but i wish to use some of the features found on SD6, which appears not to be supported (yet). this is what i am trying to confirm. thank you for your suggestion!

Hi saavedraerwin, wires, duchess110 and justaviking
We will update the SDK in the coming CC version, which might fix the issue.
