So this is really two issues -- first of all, I bought the 100 Realistic Heads (or whatever the heck it's called) and it was installed in my C: drive with no way to change (it's my RAM boot so all my other content directories are located out on my hard drives) in the "Shared Template" folder.  So to use in CC I tried copying it over but there was no place the RLHeads would show up (so that's the first problem -- I couldn't find a suitable folder anywhere it would work).

But if I import it (using the file import) and get it into CC 2.x, it then tells me it's trial content (although it obviously is not) and won't allow me to do anything with it.  That's the second problem.

Anybody have a clue as to what to do next?  (DRM is SUCH a bitch -- so much more trouble than it's worth sometimes).

I went through this some time ago - and it took a while to get the mess sorted out, I needed to make changes to the registry to get things the way that I wanted them to be.

First thing is that the Heads need to be in the Shared Templets folder as they are used by both iClone and CC - and maybe even CTA for all that I know. In my case they were stored in my Shared iClone 5 Template folder, which I only discovered after a long registry search.

I had to change the Shared Template paths entries in a whole bunch of places just to get things working in iClone 6 and CC 1 - I also had to move/copy everything from the IC 5 to the IC 6 Shared folder, and it looks like I'll have to do it again for CC 2 and iClone 7. :w00t:

As to the DRM warning, this was supposed to have been solved with a new download pack.

Redownloading it again today did help with the DRM issue, so thanks.

I do have it installed in the shared templates but it still doesn't show up anywhere.  Let me ask you this -- where IS it supposed to show up?  I assumed it was in the morphs/head folder, but the only ones that show up there are my essential morphs and the bases.

RL really needs to get their act together to allow custom directories for the install.

I'm replying using my phone, but I believe that you can access the heads using the Content Manager Head/Face tab. I let CC 2 copy all my content from CC 1.5, and I believe that a link was created. If not then drag & drop should work.

The RL-Head are in your Iclone app because it's an "Iclone Charactor Head " File.
The heads in Character creator are "Iclone  Charactor morph preset " file.
You can use the RL_Head in character creator with a drag'n'drop. After that you must
create your own morph with the new Head creared.

If I understand correctly what both of you are saying, the heads don't show up in CC but do in iClone (even though by using drag and drop you can use them in CC).  If so, that's probably why I never used them, as after I bought them I just assumed they would show up somewhere in CC and forgot I had even bought them (until today, when I was looking for them and ran into the DRM issues which are now resolved).

If that is indeed the case I'm confused why they are even copied to a shared template folder, since they obviously aren't "shared" by CC (I guess because of CT but that's not really where RLHeads should be placed, since you can use CT to create those RL heads in the first place for use in CC.  IOW, they should show up in CC without having to drag and drop them from a folder somewhere or their usefulness is very limited).

In any case, I won't worry more about it for now -- RL has proven, yet once again, they have almost zero idea on how to manage workflow between their products.

I'm having this same issue, and dragging and dropping is hit and miss, sometimes it will give me an error, sometimes not. Frankly, the whole DRM behavior, as well as installation across different versions of iClone, is a damn mess. If I try adragging a head and apply everything, it works. If I only try applying the skin, I get a DRM warning. My solution is to grab everything, save off the skin (which really is only the head skin, but it saves a whole body though the body is generic). I wish they wouldn't say it is compatible if you have to jump through hoops to get it working right.

Is there a way to just apply a head texture if you save it off as a skin in CC? It looks like you only have the option for the body, which for the RL Heads doesn't include a real body skin. I'm extremely disappointed.

It is really messed up, very much random, I can't use this. It is essentially broken. This DRM sucks, stuff like this makes me want to use a different product. 

Edit: ok, if I only apply the heads within iClone and then move the character to CC, it is much more stable. It really should work better from within CC but I can live with it.
