Hello,

I created a character in Character Creator, but when I import it to 3DXchange it is all glossy, and also the hair and eyelashes look weird (can see the edge of the transparency). I can fix the specularity manually in 3DXchange, but it doesn't look exactly the same, and it's a lot of unnecessary work.
Why doesn't it look exactly like in Character Creator or iClone?

Could it be the lighting?

The default lighting is different in 3DX than either CC or iClone.

Try playing with these icons in the toolbar. The right-most enables/disables the "pixel shader", and the others are lighting presets. If the pixel shader is disabled, the quality will be a bit lower. You will not get bump-mapping, for instance.

I think the artifact on the lashes is probably because specularity is set very high them, as it was on the body. Try reducing, or removing the specular. I'm pretty sure the reason that can happen is because the opacity which divides the lash into separate lashes does not effect the specularity of the lash.

Also, 3DXchange doesn't support PBR yet and in general has far fewer options to adjust the look.

Thank you all, that was it @rampa, I enabled the Pixel Shader and it fixed the glossiness of the character. And this also fixed the weird borders on the hair and eyelashes! Changing the lighting to "iClone" makes the lighting better, but that's not what was causing the glossiness and weird borders.

Wouldn't it be easier to include the functionalities of 3DXchange to iClone instead of having separate programs?

Thanks
