Hi I have bought a character from the market place (Gingerbread man by cricky) and i need to scale it.
I need to scale it down quiet a lot and it wont let me scale it at all.
Is there any reason for this? Can anyone give mne any ideas on how to do it.

It's categorized as a non-standard character, which means that it has been created in an external application and cannot be scaled.

Your best bet is to contact the developer as he may be able to create a special version.

Really dumb question but why create something that is not scale able. The most fundamental action you need is to scale rotate and move an object.
At every turn i feel some people just want to rip you off. I have tried to contact the vendor we will see if i get any response but i wont hold my breath

Select the character in the scene window, in the Modify panel click on "Avatar Proportion" - you can now scale the character using the sliders in the panel, or you can select the now activated "Scale" option at the top..

I have tried scaling using the proportions menu but i cant get it small enough and the sale tool at the top on the menu is greyed out. Also tried taking into 3dxchange and cant figure it out their either. I do have Blender so ill try and get into their and do it. I dont suppose their is a you tube tutorial on this as i am supposing its not as simple as just opening the file.

There is a size limit when scaling a character, and a workaround.

Scale the character as small as you can and save it. Reload the scaled character and scale down again and save. Do this as often as required.
