Hi. As of last week I can't seem to export any Genesis characters from Daz 4.9, using the facekey's iclone provides, as fbx files and bring them into 3DXchange without it immediately crashing. I contacted Reallusion and they said if I installed the newest version of Daz the problem would be fixed but the problem is still there. Anyone know what is going on and how to fix? Thanks.

I just did some tests. I loaded a Genesis 2 model in Daz and made the timeline 2000 frames. I then did some body motions along the timeline and exported it as an FBX file. 3DX opened it no problem. I went back to that same model and added one face morph at frame 30 and exported again. Same problem as soon as it tries to open it 3DXchange crashes. I even reinstalled both DAZ and 3DXchange. What is it's problem all of a sudden with face morph data?

When you uninstall DAZ and don't clear your registry it saves your settings and when you reinstall it uses the last ones it saved. This is what I found anyways after several tries to reinstall it, even after I completely uninstalled all of it and cleaned the registry with CCleaner it still came back to the same problems I had before. I didn't however look in the "AppData" folder which should be found here "C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME)\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D". If you want to do a clean install of DAZ4.9 then make sure this folder isn't there after you uninstall it or you'll get the same results I'm pretty sure.

Not having Daz right seemed to have been the problem. I have a second spare computer ( new ) that I had Daz on also and I just wiped it and reinstalled and it imports the models with the face keys into 3DX no problem. I don't have that app folder on my main computer so I'm going to uninstall Daz again on this machine and see what happens. If it doesn't work I'll contact Daz. Good to know where the problem is though and it's not with 3Dx.
Thanks for your help.

I recall sometime back I had similar programs with daz3d to Iclone. The 3dxchange was failing. I have an SSD system drive. The drive is full almost to the limit. I deleted temp files, and and cleaned the SSD as much as I could. ....it worked. I downloaded a free software CC Cleaner to do this. https://www.piriform.com/ccleanerHope this helps :)

I'll probably have to use a registry cleaner. I didn't want to go that route but it's still not working on my main machine. At least with the other computer I have a work around for now. I'm contacting Daz just to see if they have something in mind, if not the registry cleaner.

What are the differences in the two machines?

Make sure you run the DAZ 4.9 Public Beta, as that version includes FBX fixes that are not in the regular 4.9. At least that was the situation some months ago. Here is a discussion thread: https://forum.reallusion.com/290272/The-Daz-49-to-iClone-issue-try-the-Public-Beta.
