Hi,
As usual before I submit an issue to the tracker I prefer to post it in the forum first to gather feedback and perhaps more useful information.

I'm curious nobody (afaik) reported this already, but when you save a CC2 project, no Visual setting is saved with it.
When you load back your project, Shadow settings are back to defaults, IBL and Lights are back to default, etc..

I have the feeling this is intentional, perhaps the idea is to use a "default project" with all the settings already done, but in practice this is not working because you may have posed your character specifically with a certain 'atmosphere', lights, shadows settings, and you've made a screenshot of it. But if you save/load your project then everything is gone, you have to redo it all.

Issue ? No Issue ?

To me it is but..

I think it is meant to be that way. The character and the scene are actually two different files. The scene is an iClone file, and cannot be directly accessed from within CC. You can manually replace it with your own scene.

The "Atmosphere" gives you lighting options that can be saved, but again, they need to be manually inserted. You can have more than the three that are in there by default. That allows many more lights and pre-associated IBL's.

But then, it should be logical that when you "load" a Project in CC2, then only the character would be affected/loaded.

Instead, everything is affected/reset. There should be a choice aside "Replace Costume": "Replace Character". (Or it should even be the default).

Nonetheless, I understand what you say about the iClone scene and atmosphere, and those are just technical details.
I still think there should be a way to save our work "As Is" (including the current point of view) and be able to get it back "As It Was" so we could continue working on a specific setup, instead of having to redo everything every time we load our project.

Thanks grabiller and rampa for your feedback!
In our current plan, CC is designed to be a pure character design tool.
We plan to fix it in the official version by not loading back the scene when loading ccproject.

@Miranda
Not loading back the scene when loading a ccproject would be indeed preferable, thanks for the info.
I understand CC is designed to be a pure character design tool but understand one might need to design a character according to a certain lighting environment.
Perhaps what could be great is to be able to save 'Atmospheres' from within CC, including IBL, Lights and Shadow settings.
