To increase the effective RAM available for 3DXchange, you can patch the executable with the 4GB patch. But I think to reduce polycount for better performance is more efficient Well, it won't hurt to do both... ;)

To increase the effective RAM available to 3DXchange, you can patch the executable using 4GB Patch. I explain how to use it here: https://forum.reallusion.com/FindPost315827.aspx. I've used it for many years and avoided many headaches.

When you get the memory message set the Resolution Level in DAZ Studio from High Resolution to Base To find > Paramter Tab > Mesh Resolution > Resolution Level
High Resolution is to heavy for Realtime Renderung and not necessary . It would only eat the performance

I am having the same problem I have sent countless fbx files to reallusion they keep telling me they cant recreate the problem I sent them my dxdiag and they didn't even look at it becacuse in the last comment they gave me said to send it to them and I already did. I did not have this trouble on my crapy laptop but as soon as I bought this new computer I have nothing but trouble I get the not enough memory and also get the disappearing character as soon as I add a texture map doesn't matter which one bump, spec, opacity I do remember this happening to other people and they applied an update fix anbody knows what to do let me also

Let me know how things work out. I noticed that the recent RL tutorial for importing DAZ Genesis 3 characters made a point of using this version of DAZ, and I have seen other postings that the DAZ 4.9 FBX exporter had issues. I only have the PRO version of 3dx, but I have had issues in exporting DAZ figures with it using the 4.9 exporter. There was also an issue with an earlier version of Iclone which caused a lot of issues, somehow ballooning the size of the file being exported. Supposedly that was resolved a couple of versions ago.
