Importing to CC from Blender

Ok, so here I am trying to import something to CC for the first time from Blender.
Went through some of tutorials for proper export/import
Using a base female template. All is OK until I try to import to CC (surprise, surprise). Here is what I get:

A log file contains the following:

Profile use material name : Skin_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Skin_Head ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Skin_Head on mesh : CC_Base_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Eyelash on mesh : CC_Base_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Tongue on mesh : CC_Base_Tongue ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Skin_Body on mesh : CC_Base_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Toenail on mesh : CC_Base_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth
Profile use material name : Fingernail on mesh : CC_Base_Body ,but not in the avatar or already set to cloth


I am importing shoes BTW. It was modeled, attached to the armature and weight painted (I hope properly). There are no any materials under shoes object listed in Blender.
Blender v2.78
CC v1.52.2204.1

Hope it is something simple.

Check your material and mesh names in Blender. The ones that it says are missing are the ones it needs. So that means "body_etc. etc" all need to be there. I've run into situations where I somehow got Blender renaming them. It put a number after them. If the names are wrong, it wont work.

Dang! You are right Rampa! It was renamed to 001 extension and went through after taking it out.
I have to correct the feet pose tomorrow... see if I get it right.

I knew I'd be back.

The question is how to preserve a pose while exporting from Blender?
I posed feet at the beginning and modeled shoes (high heels) around it. However after bringing a base to CC, it defaults to the "default rest"

I've seen that was done in Maya. Anyone has done it in Blender?

Don't you just need to set a new rest pose? That is same procedure as in my asymmetry tutorial, just rotating the bones instead of scaling them. You still duplicate the modifier, etc. the same way.

Oh yes! That is great! I was trying to set a new "rest pose" but without applying the modifier.. etc and I was getting a weird error. Then I end up duplicating whole body object, deleting the original and do basically the same as in your tutorial. Only you have it so nice and clear Smile

Next, I need to do a proper weight painting as mesh looks abnormal with calibration and then skin it.
