Hi all,
Just wanted to share some unfinished Music videos I was working on and a subsurface scattering test I've done in Iclone.
The first is a music video using some 2d art on cards for the intro and a painted sky/sphere in IClone for the city below.
I used a combo of Iclone G5 characters, re-vamped in 3dcoat and re-imported into Iclone. There are also some place-holder props as well. You can see some of the guard characters are just place-holders as well, for what were supposed to be more detailed Iclone characters.
Here's the other incomplete music video using Anime Studio(2d animation) and ICLONE (3d animation) and some compositing in HITFILM3.
Some of the animation needs tons of work(feet sliding/timing etc), I felt it was important to see if I could combine the 2d and 3d elements at least on a light & color grade level.
Last but not least is the SSS test.
This was a test in ICLONE to see if I could get a sub surface scattering effect we find in high end rendering programs and in other real-time engines.
Basically it's 2-3 of the same character layered inside each other with only the specularity and gloss materials are adjusted on the top meshes at
different intensities, mimicking light passing through different layers of skin, blood and bone.
It's looking more like rubber but with some tweaks we may get there. Please ignore the bad lip-syncing :).
thanks for looking
