I am following the tutorial video "Intro to Character Animation" in CTA2, but I am having trouble adding keyframes to the timeline.
According to the video you simply double click in the timeline track on a selected frame to add a key frame.  I do that but nothing happens.  The frame stays blank and I cannot get a keyframe dot to appear.
This is incredibly frustrating. Any suggestions?

What version of CTA2 are you using (STD, PRO, PIPELINE)?

Which track(s) are you double clicking in? Some tracks you can not add a key.

Click on a frame in the track and if "add key" is available the plus sign "+", in the upper left of the timeline window,  will not be greyed out.

Thanks, Jeff. I am running Pipeline CTA2. I have a character onstage and have the 2D motion key editor open and the deform tab selected. In the timeline I have selected the 2D tab in the timeline header bar and I am following the video tutorial and trying to add a keyframe in the Body_Deform track. The video shows it working perfectly, but in my timeline the frame stays empty.

You can't add a key in the "Body_Deform" track because that track only indicates that there is a key in one of the Deform Tracks below it.
You must select the deform track for the body part (i.e. "Up Torso_D") to add a key for that body part you are going to deform.

Thanks again, Jeff.  That must have changed since the tutorial video was made, because the Reallusion presenter clicked his pointer right in the Body_Deform track instead of the body part_D track below it.
I selected the body part_D and was able to add a keyframe at that point.  Thanks again for your help.
