Hi I'm Rémi, I'm a 3D Character artist, I just finished school in 3D modeling. I was working on my portfolio when I read about Reallusion 3D character contest, so I decided to continue the character I was working on and integrate Reallusion's application in my pipeline. The last third of this video you can see that I'm fitting the blocking of this character I was previously working on. Here the character 2D concept art, done by one of my friend and schoolmate Stephane Perez, he gave me the go on modify anything in the process so it's not going to be 100% like this: https://www.artstation.com/artist/sperezFor the head I'll be using the actor Tadanobu Asano as a ref :

I decided to go all the way with the anatomy of the Reallusion Character rather than mine, just to minimize problems with Reallusion rig. In this part I sent my character into Marvelous Designer, second time I used it so I had go back and forth into tutorials to get the grasp of it. I still have some tweak to do we might see on the next part.

For this part I just finished some adjustments in Marvelous Designer. The hard surfaces will be done in Zbrush in the next part. Here are the settings I used for my custom character in Iclone.

I'm a bit busy right now, didn't have time to work on my character. I'll be back soon.

Very nice project. You having 3d modeling training.... it would be awesome (if you had the time) to model "the Head" of this character to scale. Far different features than the iClone or CC characters. I know if time permitted you would. Cheers

As I said I will model the actor Tadanobu Asano, the head from the 2d concept is a modified version of a male model from cubebrush, my concept artist didn't gave me enough close up and angles for this modified one and the cubebrush model is very bad imo. He is caucasian but has asian cultural sings, he looks very gentil so does not suit the super-villain character neither, plus I'm trying to perfect my skill in celebrities reproduction. I'm also focus on giving the character a high-tech mongolian style, like a futuristic mongolian eagle hunter.

In this part I'm finishing some last tweak in Marvelous Designer and then start the hard surface in Zbrush. How you will see I work in iterations, this is the best and most professional pipeline. Instead of focus on one part to it's completion I work every part until they all reach the same level. This way I avoid getting missfits parts, or having an unbalanced piece if I can't deliver everything at the deadline.

I might not be able to finish for the contest because I was offered a job, but I will continue to work on my model past the contest deadline, that will still be a great piece for my portfolio.

It's going to be crazy but worth it.
