I simply want to fade whole object/prop from 0-100% within 5sec. iclone still missing this feature? It is a most needed animation feature. A producer may want to fade anything whether it is camera switches / avatar or fire works. So please implement it.

May I didn't understand your issue , but you can fade object with the opacity slider in the material setting or you can play with the amount strengh opacity texture channel. both of them create an auto-keyframe.
Hope this helps

keyframes of object/prop and its material. Both are different things.
I want to change the opacity of whole object. Whereas with the material sliders i can alter only some surfaces. Keep in mind that an object/prop may have 5000 of materials. So according to your solution i will have to slide 5000 materials with new 10000 keys.

In that case, I'd do the animation twice... once with the prop and once without it... then overlay them in a video editor and "fade" in/out between to two clips.

Ok I understand. Iclone is base on realtime like game engine. That's why usually we don't encounter this kind of object/prop because all the time they're optimized for realtime render, wich have one or two atlas map textures. Really not 5000.... Maybe that's why Reallusion didn't implement this feature.

This is how i am proceeding. Just want to find a solution in itself. well justaviking, justaviking: 5000 or just 5, doesn't makes a difference. If you know the pain.Well i am done. Thanks again to both.

In some cases RL allows multi selection and application of a property to all selected items. In other cases it does not.
As far as I recall, with Material properties you can't select multiple materials and apply a property to all selected. I am not sure why. All materials have the exact same properties so being able to multi select them and apply a setting to all selected should not be an issue.
