This is an odd issue. It used to work with iClone 5x and 3dxchange 5x, but iClone 6.x and 3dXchange 6.x seems to have broken the ability to import Genesis2 characters from Daz 4.9 (and 4.5 tested too).
Steps taken here are setting up the figure, implementing the facial key file and testing it did its job. Which it did. Then export out.
Import on over inside 3dXchange. Everything loads without issue. T-Pose corrected. Test animations all good. Then get up to the eyebrows, not moving. Eyes, not moving. Head tilts. Hmm mouth won't open, nor animated. Export to iClone anyhow, same deal, same fails.
This is a bit confusing and not sure where to fix it here. If it has to be manually fixed in Daz first that's fine but not sure where to start! :)
Anybody else running into this with G2M and G2F characters importing into 3dX >iClone? :)

Don't you have to pull in the facial animation thing that's provided in the facial pipeline package?

It's explained in this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3iS164uTgc

around 2:00+ in the video. My understanding is this .duf file is needed because facial animation in DAZ and iClone differ significantly.

I thought the .duf file "fix" was provided for free by Reallusion but apparently not.

Note that the .duf file is applied first in DAZ before exporting the character.

I have not been able to replicate this issue but see many post on it, I even grabbed the latest duf presets and used the latest DS4.9 beta and mine all work, it is often too strong as ctrl morphs get duplicated but thats just a matter of adjusting the viseme and expression sliders in iClone.
I can only assume an FBX export setting is wrong, you looked in advanced and ticked the rules for the morphs?

this happens to me nearly 50% of the time (4.6)
as well as sometimes forearms and shin bones be mapped to the nubs.
I have no explanation why,
most times just a another export from daz corrects it
(with no changes)

Thanks Prairiemain, but actually got that part understood. That's what I meant by implementing the facial key thing. Couldn't recall the name! It adds without problem. Tests fine in Daz. But once imported, after checking the TPose is correct and other things work, the facial is stone. This is odd given that to export it takes away the set pose and expression at the time, so it definitely should work, hah.
Wendy, I've tried various settings at this point. Also exporting with just the default rule for Final. As well as adding the Genesis2Female rule to ignore, which then ruins all morphs so don't use that in the end. Also tried the rule as Head. or head. forget which, which keeps all morphs successfully. It's a rather odd problem. Can't get to the sliders part until they actually function :)
Budbundy, anything in particular you do when it does work? What morph rules for the export? I've definitely done repeated attempts and failing all over the board. Nothing odd as misplaced bones or parenting though, thankfully.

This isn't my fault! Pure coincidence! :D
I stayed away from 4.9 all the way up until two weeks ago, as wasn't a fan of their marketing strategy originally announced with all that DAZ Connect.
I've got 4.5 installed too, but still run into the same problem so it seems to be on the 3dx/iclone side of things that borked. Might try v5.x of those.

Well the morphs bake and import but not animated on timeline to trigger viseme assignment, you can manually set them, my old files work and a 4.7 export worked albeit double strength as I said.
So it is a DAZ studio beta issue and I will report it as a bug after more testing.

Yikes, yeah that sounds buggy.
Actually I was slightly wrong. I have 4.8 installed, along with 4.9. But this did work with 4.5, along with I believe iClone 5.2 or so, last year. I'll give that a go again. :)
