You can move any object in the Z axis in one of several ways:
1) Select the object and change the Z value in the data bar at the top.
2) select the object and roll your mouse wheel.
3) Select the object and click and drag the icon up/down.
4) Select 3D View and move the object by clicking and dragging the Blue Arrow.

When all else fails check the manual.

I have two characters on my stage.  I need Character A to be behind Character B on the Z axis.  However, Character B was added to the stage last and I can find no way to move Character B behind Character A.  I'm guessing this isn't too tough, but I am just getting started, hence my question - Thanks in advance for the help!
