Hi I have just tried out Iclone 6 with the character generator, mocap plugin and 3DXchange and so far it's bee heavy impressive and I'm planning on buying it but I'm not exactly sure how to create or import characters from software like Maya. Character generayor only allows you to modify characters but not create them so how can I create characters from scratch for Iclone?

In 3DXchange there is a retargetting ability, if your figure has the minimum bones shown you can t pose and retarget it. Maya and Max biped, human ik are two of the preset options so if you rig with those bones it should work, I do not have Autodesk software but FBX files of stuff rigged using biped in Max is usually fairly easy to use out the box if I find it. You can do Blendshapes or morphs and assign them to the visemes and expressions in expression editor too. Reallusion has video tutorials on their youtube channel.

You cannot use those characters in CC though just iClone.
