Sometime, i have a curious bug. When i open a file project with Iclone, Windows 10 closes Iclone during the opening. I checked the memory using to be sure my RAM is sufficient in size. The problem was not here ! No information are listed during this closing by Iclone or windows 10. But when the file is large, the problem is always present.
As i use two screens, i decided to switch off my second screen to limit the work of my graphic card. And now, Iclone can open every project. It seems that Iclone during opening a project, loads large data in graphic card and windows 10 does not allow this loading.
My system is
  • Intel i5
  • 8GB RAM
  • > 10GB free hard disk space
  • Display Resolution: 2460 x 1440
  • Graphics Card: NVidia Geforce GTX 750Ti
  • Video Memory: 2GB RAM

It is compatible with the minimum system requirements.

It seems important to inform the user that two screens can do the type of bug. It is not easy to solve this problem without error message.
In this link: http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/iclone_requirements.aspx maybe tell it to the users

Patrice

Finally my last message is not correct because i changed my graphic card with a GetForce GTX760 and i cannot open my project file. 9 times out of 10, my computer refuses to open my project file and windows 10 closes Iclone! Probably, the graphic card is not involved.
I did the test with two computers now and it is the same thing. The first one is i7/8Go/GTX750Ti/windows 10. The second one is i5/8Go/GTX760/windows 10
The conclusion is when the file is too large (about to 240 Mo) a problem occurs between Iclone 6.4 and windows 10 and file project is not loaded.
I attach the jpg file which contains data from the "newpaper of errors" of windows 10. I'm not sure of the translation. Sorry for my english.

Since several weeks, I am very Bored with this bug. Am I the only in this case ?
Thank you for your help
Patrice

If you haven't already you should open a support ticket and show them this.  iClone disappears on me as well but not since I updated the graphics drivers, take a look at this thread for some clues. https://forum.reallusion.com/270810/OFFICIAL-iClone-64-Issues-Thread?PageIndex=9

You can use a tool like GPU-Z to check video memory (VRAM) usage of your card. For larger projects with lots of textures 2GB is on the low side. I have updated my card to one with 4GB of VRAM (GTX 980), which has helped stability. But as suggested, contact support.
