I suppose the only real option is to either contact support. I don;t have the Medieval pack, but I do have others. I tried duplicating your issue, and didn't have any problem at all getting props to behave themselves. No offense meant, but you tried manipulating the little arrow in the bottom of the prop, clicking on it, and dragging down so it'd move forward? Or modify the Z value at the top left of the toolbar?

I'm curious about the prop. Is it a CTA1 prop, a CTA2 prop, or an imported prop? Could you include a screen shot or two of how/where you've placed it? Because of the 10 different viewing angles, props can be a bit more problematic and meddlesome in CTA than in standard 2D animation applications.

Thanks Jeff - for some reason what you suggested unfortunately doesn't work. I will keep at it. Cheers Chrisgreenfingers

Thanks Wizaerd. I have done everything you mentioned, however when I try to re save prop it comes up "Body parts of older generation characters cannot be saved" - so it looks like the only way I can put a hat on a character is to do it with Photoshop and bring character and hat in together. I still can't understand why the prop sits at the back and using the Z axis in stage mode as you mentioned doesn't work. Cheers Chrisgreenfingers

A lot of CTA2's props weren't saved with an absolute position of 0,0. So sometimes you may have to put the prop onto the stage, reset it's absolute position to 0, 0 then re-save the prop (which makes a duplicate). This is especially true of a lot of the older CTA props. Doesn't have anything to do with layering per se, but could also cause quite a headache when the prop doesn't stick to where you want it to as the character and/or camera moves around.

It depends on whether the hat is part of the character (i.e. add to the character in Composer Mode) or was added to the stage? If the hat was added to the character using Composer Mode then use the layering to move it in front of the face. If the hat was added to the stage then use the Z position to move it in front of the character. Jeff

Hi - could someone help please. I'm just new to Crazytalk animator 2 and have recentlypurchased the Medieval pack and cannot work out how the props eg hats fit on my character's head. The hat is always behind - I've spent days trying to work this out. Cheers
