I'm reaching out to that one special iClone developer who would be interested in donating their time and talent toward the creation of a rocking 3-5 minute music video. If chosen,  in return, they will receive their name or business name in the ending credits as well as their name and web site link within the content of the video posts. A storyboard and sound track would be provided during pre-production. Production scheduled to begin Feb 1 2016 or before.  Those interested, please send portfolio link and contact info along with any questions to vlloyd@dragonflytheband.com. Thank so much!.

What genre would interest you best for the upcoming song?
I ask, because it makes a difference to those of us with asset libraries which lean toward either toonish, or realistic, or have props for specific settings, ...
e.g. science fiction, with spacey style animations, or maybe fantasy with dragons and dragonflies, perhaps in a more natural setting... or maybe even steampunk-ish, given the unique sound you have... and of course also depending on the theme of your upcoming song... is it hopeful or dark, abstract or grounded in realism?

And do you want something that is entirely animated, with animated band members - toonish or realistic - or can you do some greenscreening of band members playing their instruments, which can then be edited together with animated scenes and other characters?

I checked out your youtube channel... (love "blind" by the way!)... and it seems as if you could head in almost any direction...

best of luck in any case!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thank you for the great questions.
The title of the track is, “Walking in the Night”, yes, Vampires (steampunk-ish) and realistic ones at that.
There will be live clips of the band inserted into certain sections throughout the video, green screening would be an option.

You can hear a sample of the song at the YouTube link below.

Hi Valerie
There is a lot of work involved in making a decent animated music clip I have done quite a few now and as much as I like to assist musicians I am kind of booked out for a couple of years. I hope you find someone. Have you considered giving it a go yourselves? It might be a plan B option with the bonus of setting you up for future projects. If you were to look at the marketplace here you would probably find enough great content to cover the whole project. Tutorial base on offer for this software is as good as it gets. Because you probably would not be having any major content creator ambitions at this stage and not requiring import/export in/out of the software you could  get away with the standard version for starters (It is addictive once you get going so Pro for next clip is a given:-)). You guys are musicians so I know you can do it. You have stated it will have real footage included so your 3-4 min clip might only require 2 - 2 1/2 mins or so animation. The members in this forum are great and very helpful I am sure they will be very handy armchair directors. Anyway I thought I would mention it best of luck with your project.

On top of the music clips I have about 30 - 50 of these to do so I have a feeling I will die with iClone open. There is worse ways to go I suppose :-)

Hi, thank you for replying to my post.
I do agree that any animated video is a hughe undertaking. When I was in animation school, there were quiet few people out there wanting students to work on their projects for little or know money. I did a lot freebiees just to build up a portfolio in 3-D studio. I'm new to iClone but the interface seems pretty simple. For myself, it's a time issue. I'll keep putting the project out there but in the end, I'll probably do it myself. Thpanks again and good luck in your future endeavors. ROCK ON \M/
