Hi,
I searched the forums and didn't find any related information.
I am trying to install CT7 trial, and during the installation, it incorrectly identifies my machine as a Virtual Machine for which installation is cancelled. Anyone seen this before or any pointers on installing without this issue?
I am running Win 8.1 Enterprise.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers

I had to submit a support request about this very thing.  It has to do with Hyper Terminal, which runs on different WIndows Tablet PCs.  It was a while ago, and I don't remember exactly what I had to do to temporarily disable it...  Here's a forum thread about it, and there's always RL support that can help as well.

Thanks for the very helpful response wizaerd. That makes sense. Considering Win 10 (and I think 8.1) have HyperTerminal switched on by default, I am surprised this hasn't come up more often.

Actually, I just installed CT7Pro on a Windows 10 laptop (not tablet) and did not have this issue.  I did when I installed on my Surface Pro 3, but not so with my ASUS notebook.

Hi..

Please check if you have Hyper V active on your Windows 8 computer. This is known to cause this false error message. Hyper V is a windows virtual machine client and is included in the Pro or Enterprise editions of Windows 8/8.1.

If you do have HyperV active, please do the following to resolve the issue until a permanent resolution is found.

1. Go Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features On or Off
2. Disable HyperV
3. Install CrazyTalk 7
4. Repeat steps 1 & 2 to enable HyperV again (if required).

Thanks Peter - it is indeed with Enterprise editions of Windows, which has remote desktop (RDP) enabled, which uses I believe HyperV in the background.

Cheers
