3DXchange provides, along with the regular character Expression morphs, 6 slots each with 4 directions to which Custom morphs can be mapped.
I noticed that the Expression Editor has the option to save the results as a Profile. This generates a 3DXFaceAnimProfile file. Are these profiles strictly for 3DXChange only (so that you can load various profiles of the 6 custom slots) or can these profiles be loaded in iClone? When I saved a couple of profiles and then opened Face Puppet in iClone, these profiles did not automatically appear (i.e. there were only the standard profiles including the one 3DX Custom profile). Face Puppet does have a load profile option but it is a Solo Feature load profile option and as far as I could tell, when I load one of the profiles that I save in 3DXChange, it did not do anything. The 3DX Custom slot still remained using the morphs that were last assigned in 3DXChange and the Solo Feature selection did not seem to apply the morphs in the profile.
Can saving profiles be used to access more than 6 slots of 3DX custom morphs? If so, can someone briefly outline the steps to do so? My goal is the create a character which has all the regular expression morphs plus more than 24 (6 custom slots each with 4 directions) custom slots. Normally the 3DX Custom slot can provide access to a maximum of 6x4=24 custom morphs. Is it possible, in iClone, to somehow swap profiles so that more than 24 custom morphs can be accessed?
