How do I link 3D Exchange to 3D max ....I guess its called a Pipeline
when I watch a video .. I can see that they have 3d Max in the Drop down in the Export .....but when I look for it .. It is not there
I also see in the Video that they have FBX Icon/button on the Tool bar ....I am unable to find it
I bought the Full version 3D Exchange 6 Pro...anyone willing to point me in the direction of where I might find it
Is this a Bug ?

any way ...thanks again

Thanks so much

you need 3dexchange pipeline to export fbx & BVH files from iclone and you need an export license if one is offered.   3dexchage pro if you look at the chart wont allow export of fbx files or animations etc only obj export.

scroll to the bottom of this page for the versions comparison

If you only have 3DXChange PRO you can still export meshes to 3D Max (by using the Export OBJ option) but this only exports the meshes and not the accompanying bone structure. As such it is ideal, for example, for changing a character's mesh and then using the Replace Mesh option in 3DXChange to push the changes back to the character (so you don't have to re-bone the character).
In any case, if you have 3DXChange PRO there is no link to any external editing programs. You need to Export as OBJ the whole character or Export Mesh a part of the character and then manually open that file in your external program (such as 3DMax).

Not sure but I am guessing, since it is software, that there isn't one. However, RL iClone does use licenses so it may be possible for them to cancel your license and thus be able to give you a refund.
May I ask a stupid question: RL offers both a trial for iClone as well as 3DXChange. Why did you not try this process with the trial versions before committing to a purchase?

I am completely unfamiliar with Unity but if you are trying to get iClone characters into Unity (with an iClone bone structure) then you may be able to export a single CC iClone characters as FBX using the 3DXChange PIPELINE Trial Version to get the bone structure. Then you should be able to export, in the future, the CC character variations as OBJ files and just rig them on the previously exported FBX character (i.e. swap the mesh in the exported FBX file with the mesh from the exported OBJ file). It all depends on what you are trying to achieve.

You can request a refund within 30 days of purchase if iClone/3DXchange 6 Pro do not meet your needs.

Alternatively you can check out our upgrade prices for 3DXchange 6 Pipeline by going HERE and then click the Add on Tools tab. :)

It's always a good idea to check the features of the various versions of a product to see if they meet your needs before complaining. "It's all about the money" has nothing to do with that. IClone provides a lot of value if you know what you are looking for.
