I was just wondering if there is any Iclone 6 pro DVD is planned as there is one for Iclone 5.
So before buying the Iclone 5 training DVD I want to be sure if it's worth to wait a bit for the newer version.

I think it would be a really good idea for Reallusion to release a comprehensive training course or, preferably, outsource it to Lynda.com. A course that started with the basics and ended up with a really nice project, visiting all of the tools and functionality along the way would be great, and I think it would go a long way towards boosting interest in iClone.

I doubt that's likely to happen. There are a few iClone 6 videos in the training centre, and a youtube playlist here. The trouble with these approaches is that the videos are unstructured; you just have to pick through them hoping you find what you want.

There's a thread here where you can request more tutorials. Kai, the guy responsible for training mentions that he doesn't visit the forums often, though he will be monitoring that thread.

Thanks a lot for the informations!
Yes, that's what I thought, maybe it can get connected to the Iclone 5 training DVD with just an addition like new features and some guides to take out the best of Iclone and indigo.
Not sure if this will ever be an option but I belive infiniteskills.com could also be an address to go for training dvd's, just haven't found any Reallusion training there yet.

Yes, there are quite a few training companies out there, now. Digital Tutors is another. On the whole my experience with Lynda.com has been very good. What differentiates their training is that the courses seem to be created specifically as training courses.

With some of the others, I just have the feeling that I'm looking over the shoulder of an expert who is trying to explain what he is doing as he goes along. That's a lot different to delivering a properly designed training course.

iClone 5 Training DVD is a waste of money. It just puts existing iClone 5 Free Video Tutorials on a DVD. That's all.

If you want to learn how to use iClone, go through this lot:

Welcome to the Forum,

You'll find a lot of Video Tutorials by Reallusion & Forum Members.

However the question of "But where do I start?" still remains.

IMO, the best way to start (Others may differ), is to go through Stuckon3D's Free Video Tutorials, which cover iClone Basics. These are based on iClone 4, which don't include the many new Features in iC5.

Warlord's Purchase Tutorial Book also based on iC4 but with iC5 new Features added, goes into the basics in more depth, with his own Content provided for individual Project-based Tutorials.

Mark's advanced Free Tutorials cover specific "How do I do this" requests, in a User friendly manner.
