That's because this is a 3 year old thread. The version of the downloader from 3 years ago is out of date now.

Your debug report shows you are using a Proxy server. Please try disabling that.

a) Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Network and Internet" > "Internet Options" > "Connections" tab.
b) Now click on the "LAN Settings" button to see if you are using a Proxy Server. Please uncheck this option if it is currently selected and try again to install your content.

Tried to reinstall the Downloader from the link provided above, but the installer says "Version installed is newer than the installer version," and it cancels.

I'm getting the same error installing the new PBR Materials package.  RLD's fail to initialize iClone 7 installer module.

I have the same issue as demonstrated here. I have done what Peter requested and deleted the Downloader folder and re-installed. Still this happens:

i'm having the same problem i can't install my content. i keep getting failed to initialize content install of crazytalk8 or iclone6. i sent them a message on what's going on. i also followed there Thank you for contacting Reallusion Support.

We are sorry to hear you are having problems downloading your content.

Please can you try the following: -

1) Delete all the Downloader program files at: -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Reallusion\Downloader

2) Download & install the latest Content Downloader v2.14: -
http://file.reallusion.com/Downloader214_Enu.exe

3) Try to download your content again to check if the issue is resolved?

4) If it isn't, please send back the install log file below for further investigation: -
C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\RLDownloaderMgr.log

5) Please also capture a screenshot of the error message and send back to us as an attachment.

i need the default directory 

Hi musicaz,

Sorry to hear of your problems installing your content.

Please can you tell us how you are installing this content. Is it from the new built in downloader in iClone 6, or from your Marketplace Inventory or via the .exe installers.

Please also let us know which packs you are having problems with (full titles, links etc.)
