While I'm waiting on Iclone 6, I'm playing around with iclone 4 which is free.
However, there doesn't seem to be a 3dxchange 4 available to test and I'm unable to export from 3dxchange 5 to Iclone 4.
Surely there is a way to export to earlier versions of Iclone.

You cannot send files from newer versions to older versions. There was pretty significant changes between 4 and 5 as well.

The upgrade price for members is $99.00 until Dec.28th. They give you a free license of 5 as well (which is immediately downloadable). Nobody knows the actual release date yet.

So far, the DAZ characters look better, but with the tessalation in 6, that may change. I think DAZ has better textures too, and that makes a big difference. iClone character textures seem to have lighting baked into them a bit to much. Hopefully that is changing as well.

The problem is that I won 6 so I won't have access to 5 in the meantime.

I hate waiting. :)

Now why didn't I think of this before. I'm downloading the free trial of Iclone5 to go with the free trial of 3dxchange5. ;)
