History:
Last year my daughter (13) was diagnosed with bonecancer. She got chemo for 1 year and should be cured. This year only post-treatments and controls.
During that year she could keep following school from here room through the use of a laptop, printer/scanner and camera placed in her room and same equipment in a classroom in school, provided by a organisation of volunteers named 'BedNet'.
Every year in Belgium during the last weeks of december there's a huge benefit action from a radio station ('Studio Brussel') where ppl get the possibility to collect monney doing different charity actions and donate the amount of monney collected (through this radio station) to a certain organisation like BedNet or another charity organisation. The amount isnt important, people donate everything from 5€ to 50000€.
Last year friends of us collected monney from selling candles (' a candle for Anouk'), originally to donate to Anouk (my daughter), but she refused the monney and said she just wanted to get better. But she DID want to give this monney to BedNet, because they provide her with the only possibility to keep some sort of social life and got her to the next grade in school.
So we did.
Now, this year we are giving her a party, and the monney we collect from this event, we are going to donate again to BedNet.
I'm the noob designer responsable for all the promo... (and to get sponsors, which is easier for me)
Apart from the posters etc... i am trying to make some kind of animation to put maybe on the social media.
Question:
Since there are a lot animation i have in Daz Studio and my daughter wishes the most animation being done in CTA2, i tought of following the next procedure...
e.g. i make a dancing genesis (2) in Daz studio, using aniblocks (in this case it was from the hiphop bundle from reallusion) i export in FBX format i import into 3DXchange pro 5.5 i export in .iClone format i import in CTA2 pipeline
This should work perfectly since when i tried to do the same with a FBX file from turbosquid (originating from 3DSMax) it worked.
BUT somehow the animation gets lost completely while importing, even when 3DXChange immediately recognizes the Genesis figure and even asks to do the convertion automaticly.
I know i am doing something wrong in Studio, since i notice if i import the fbx in Carrara, the animation is lost too !!
HELP !!!

Isn't there a setting in the DAZ FBX export options to export Animation or not? I don't have DAZ in front of me and I don't use it that often, but I seem to remember that.

I'm doing a test to help out. Is it normal for the FBX export with animation to be very slow? It's just a few seconds on the timeline and it seems to take forever.

Scythar (11/6/2014) Yep Stupid me, so noobish to forget this!!
Thx.To be honest, I didn't know this either, so I wouldn't call this stupid on your part. In iClone you wouldn't have to convert a clip to key frames before you can export it.
