Thanks for the help!

I used the Gif in a browser as you highlighted and that worked.

The thing is that I produce videos and require clips to build the video. When exporting using Apple ProRes 4444, Camtasia does not show anything and when exporting a transparent Gif, Keynote shows nothing!

How do I progress with this as i am used to using Camtasia and Keynote? Is there a way to have a functional file.

Have you tried importing in into any other software. Or maybe viewing it on a html page.

create a text document in tghe same place where your gif file is located. name it test.html paste the following code (replace the color to the color you want the background to be, and the name of the gif file.):

<*html>
<*body color="green">
<*img src="mygif.gif">
<*/body>
<*/html>

Remove the "*" from the code above.
Save the file and view it in your browser.

If you see the transparent gif then most likely its an issue with keynote and not CTA.
In terms of Camtasia, as far as i know, it doesn't support transparent video either. But it does have a chromakey option so maybe you can use that to make a solid vid into a transparent one.

I don't have a Mac so I can't speak to those issues. I do know that if you put a solid green (or any other color) background behind your scene you can use the 'remove color' option on the 'visual properties' form in Camtasia to make the background of your scene transparent.

Hi there,

I am very new with CTA2 and was trying the functions out and am stuck on exports.

I am on the Mac platform and firstly tried to export using the Apple ProRess 4444 and when placing into Camtasia, you cant see anything however the preview is visual.

I have tried to export as Transparent GIF and followed the this tutorial

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toNZtC9SFiY

When i import the GIF into keynote after exporting as a transparent, it still has a background.

I cant seem to export transparent! Can anyone help?

Thanks Rav ;)
