Interesting
I recently upgraded my Vegas Pro and hitfilm 2 is in the package. I think there should be interest for tutorials that work with the three applications iclone/vegas/hitfilm.

Wasn't poking you for it. I've got a few things that work very well between vegas and iclone. I would enjoy to make a video release, but to be honest I've just been checking in on iclone for the past couple of months. When I get back into iclone I will make a stab at it. Several months back I quit several projects. The path command and the motions were just exasperating to work. I decided to blow off iclone until 6. Hoping that RL will get with the program on basic walking, running, turning in place, etc, and working with the motions properly. Reinventing the motions and keyframing the heck out of them is just not something I want to waste my time doing. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the ability to work at the keyframe level. You can solve a lot of problems and spend hours getting very simple things fixed. IMO, keyframing should only be necessary as an infrequent tool, if the other tools are in place. Just bought the upgrade to SonyVegasPro studio kit. Most of my work is with Vegas pro, and I've got plenty to do. I saw your directory of Vegas tools, so I know you are aware of what I speak. I appreciate your videos and discussion points on the forums. Best regards,

Very nice tutorial. For anyone who needs to use the "face camera" option of the billboard, set it as a dummy, and attach the video plain to it. Best of both worlds.

rampart (6/4/2014) Several months back I quit several projects. The path command and the motions were just exasperating to work. I decided to blow off iclone until 6. Hoping that RL will get with the program on basic walking, running, turning in place, etc, and working with the motions properly. That sounds exactly like what I did a few versions back when I tried, and abandonded, iClone (v3?). I returned with v5, but the walking (especially foot sliding) still aggrevates me beyond belief, so I am totally sympathetic and understand you completely.

mark (6/3/2014) Here's one way to get keyed video into iClone... Thanks for the tutorial. I learn something* every day here on the forum. I tried exporting the "mask" before, but I was trying to use it in my NLE (because it doesn't understand an alpha layer in video). I ended up making a green background and doing a basic green screen effect in my NLE. So I didn't really understand the point of that black-and-white mask. Applying the mask to the transparency layer in iClone... Oh, now I get it... that makes perfect sense. Thank you. . *Learn something... True, but implementing it is another story.

Mark, Great tutorial (as always). I have a question that maybe I should start in a new thread about cameras, so I will. Thanks, TS
