Hi,

I've been using iClone for quite a while now but only for basic things related to game development in Unity. Recently CryTek has announced the most attractive subscription package available in the market and it feels that a good chunk of indie game devs may adopt CryEngine for their future builds.

I understand that currently it is a major PITA to import iClone rigs into CryEngine 3 and the blame falls only on CryTek's shoulders as they have a very rigid way of importing assets from different platforms and even use their own format instead of FBX. Currently it seems the only way to get assets from iClone into CryEngine is by relying in other 3D packages e.g. 3DS Max.

I have hopes that this new installment of CryEngine will be more friendly enabling us to import FBX rigs into the platform without the need to convert files to .chr etc. Would it be possible for someone from Reallusion to have a chat with CryTek and see if 3DXchange could come with a similar feature to export FBXs optimized for CryEngine as well as what we already have with Unity and Unreal?

I think this would be a fantastic feature that would boost popularity of Reallusion products among game developers.

all the best,

G.
